Empowering the Future
of the Royal Gorge Region
Through education, civic leadership, and economic vitality,
the RGCA Foundation builds a more inclusive and resilient community for all.

A Foundation Rooted in Community Progress
Since 2005, the Royal Gorge Chamber Alliance Foundation—formerly the Greater Cañon City Chamber of Commerce Foundation—has served as the nonprofit arm of our Chamber. Originally formed to expand beyond traditional business advocacy, our foundation allows us to drive charitable, community-centered initiatives with greater reach and impact.
Rebranded in 2022 to align with the Chamber’s modern identity, we now proudly operate under the Royal Gorge Chamber Alliance Foundation name—positioning ourselves as a leader in regional prosperity and public good.
Our Mission
The Royal Gorge Chamber Alliance Foundation exists to empower community vitality through education, leadership, and inclusive economic advancement. We champion programs that cultivate a skilled workforce, foster entrepreneurial growth, enhance civic engagement, and preserve the cultural and historical assets of our region. Through strategic partnerships and charitable initiatives, we invest in the long-term prosperity and resilience of the Royal Gorge Region. Our efforts are grounded in equity, accessibility, and a steadfast commitment to serving all members of our diverse community.
Our Vision
To cultivate a thriving, inclusive region where business, education, leadership, recreation, and the arts flourish together. We envision a future where opportunity is accessible to all, civic pride is strong, and every individual plays a vital role in building a prosperous, culturally vibrant, and connected community.
Bridging Business and Community for Lasting Impact
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Foundation can receive tax-deductible donations, apply for grants, and build partnerships across sectors to advance:
-
Workforce development & scholarships
-
Nonprofit collaboration through the Royal Gorge Non-Profit Alliance
-
Local food access and small business exposure via the Royal Gorge Farmers Market
-
Historic preservation and civic revitalization—most notably through our 2024 acquisition of the Gateway Depot & Plaza
Our work ensures that economic opportunity, education, culture, and connection remain accessible to every member of our region.
